I recognise and am grateful for the privilege I have in having a voice and a platform to share it. I made this poetry video with BBC The Social in the hope that it connects to others, who for whatever reason feel that they can’t use their voice right now. I promise that you will find it/ get it back one day soon! Happy International Women’s Day ⭐️
Myself and co-host of Sonnet Youth, Kevin P Gilday are confirmed to perform at the BBC6 Music Festival at the Tramway on March 26th.
A short interview I gave to Blue Star Streaming after hosting last week’s Scottish Youth Poetry Slam Finals at the Beacon Arts Centre – in seasonal costume of course.
I made it on to BBC The Social’s top 20 people to watch out for on the Scottish Digital Scene in List magazine.
Over the last few weeks I have been honoured to host the two regionals of the first ever national Scottish Youth Poetry Slam by conFAB. The first one was at the Traverse Theatre, and the second one was at the MacRobert Arts Centre.
I’m always been blown away by the talent and originality of the work that young people produce, and I’m so happy to see spoken word being considered as a viable artform for them to express themselves in new and exciting ways.
I can’t wait to host the final at the Beacon Arts Centre on October 27th, where Kelso High School, Northfield Academy, Mearns Castle, Port Glasgow, Toonspeak Young People’s Theatre and Wallace High School will be competing for first prize!
